amy is a multidisciplinary artist from cork. Her practice stretching
in the exploration of presence, time, and the everyday. Through sculpture,
text, and installation. She is drawn to the fleeting traces of ordinary life — a receipt, a fragment of a conversation, an object left behind — and uses these as material starting points. Through photography, painting, and the written word, she documents small, personal moments that echo wider ideas of feeling out of place, living between the city and the coastline. Her practice seeks to make visible the quiet connections between people, objects, and place.
‘A true lover of colour theory, and always inspired the sea, i have been repersenting my friends as warm red in an uncertin 'blue' time in my life. mirroring the bouys dotted around the coast. With my work often mirroring the rhythm of the sea as both a metaphor and a material influence.’

I travel because I’d rather look back at my life, saying ‘I can’t believe I did that’ instead of ‘if only I had.

Paintings

As a way to create flow through my practice i often create these lare multi media paintings. The paintings are inspired by the feeling of beeing benethe the water in the river or sea, and the peace i feel in these spaces. Each painting is inspired by different times of the year lending different colour pallet to each.
The Important People in my life:
Looking at the colour red and how it is spotted around the coast as a Constant, in an ever changing Blue. I noticeed that my friends iluminated by the street lights gave a red glow. They were the constant in my life. This also lended itself to colour theory with red being the coulour of love passion and happines, and blue a coulouroften associated with personal behavior and a feeling of being lost.
